Fun Day Approaches…

Friday June 6th will be our CES FUN Day! We are so fortunate to have our PTO put on this fun-filled day for us. We are looking forward to it.

The kindergarten students have painted our “Lucky Key” door to have at one of our booths for the day. We are also hosting a “Race Track” with dice. We are looking for a mom or dad to run these booths in the afternoon from 12-2. Please let me know if you are willing to do this for our kindergarten class. It would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Spring Program!

On Friday, May 30th, CES will be having a spring program. Each class and various groups will be performing some summer/spring songs for your entertainment. Please join us at 9:00 in the Great Hall for this program.

The kindergarten students will need to dress in “summer outfits” (shorts, t-shirts, flip-flops, swimmies ,etc ) for our part of the program. We are performing with our 3rd grade buddies and will be entertaining you with some sunny songs!

FYI: The “Astronomers Backpack homework” will be brought home by your child in the next couple of weeks. You may keep this homework for 2 NIGHTS. We realized that it doesn’t get dark until after our bedtimes, so please discuss with your child the night sky the next day and they can return the homework after 2 days. Thank you !!!!!

Cotswold Wildlife Park Study Trip

We had so much fun on our study trip on Friday. The weather cooperated with us and we discovered so many cool and exciting animals. The children were on their best behavior! We had so many favorite parts. Below were some of the highlights:

Planets, Solar System and Space

We are continuing with our Space and Solar system unit. The kindergarten students have built an incredible vocabulary while studying about our planet and those in space.

After seeing many constellations in the STAR lab we have looked, created and discussed star pictures “constellations” on our own.

At the art table, the students used their reference books to create a solar system in order from the sun. It’s amazing all the facts they know already! We will continue our space unit this week.
