From Our Principal
Croughton Elementary
School is a delightfully small elementary
school located near the Cotswolds of England.
We are accredited with North Central Association
of Colleges and Schools. Croughton Elementary
School enjoys the services of an active PTO,
an involved School Advisory Committee [comparable
with school boards in the US, a very supportive
School Liaison Officer and the backing of
our military Commanders and community.
We are especially excited
about this school year because our curriculum
has changed. We are now a multi-aged school
with 1.5 teachers teaming with each grade
module. Additionally, we offer students an
excellent Enrichment program, Physical Education,
and Guidance programs which complements the
academic programs in each classroom. Our military
community is involved in many of our programs
such as Mentoring, guest presenters in our
cultural celebrations and after school music
and language courses. The lunch program is
automated which means that even the little
ones get to key in 4 digit numbers to order
lunch.
Croughton ES is technologically
driven, using Smart Boards in each classroom,
COWS [computers-on-wheels,] The Grade Speed
program and a new Report Card for Grades 4-6,
are being implemented across DoDDS this year.
These programs are designed to provide parents
with timely feedback from school-to-home.
These programs do not displace parent conferences
which are held at the end of each marking
period.
Please note that parent
and community volunteers [after successfully
completing a background check,] are welcomed
to become a member of our school team.
Drop by this web site
often. We post copies of our newsletters,
cafeteria menus and galleries of photos from
the many activities we have at CES. If you
have questions, feedback or suggestions, please
share them with us either electronically or
in person!
Working Together,
Georgia Williams-Fitzpatrick,
